The Scots Fiddle festival are looking for talented young fiddlers/violinists aged 12-18 to be part of their Outreach Project & perform at The Queen’s Hall on the 19th November.
Participants will work with professional musicians to build repertoire, meet other young musicians, develop skills and confidence in arranging, learning by ear, working as a group, talking to audiences, learning to use microphones, as well as the experience of recording at a top Edinburgh recording studio and performing at one of Scotland’s biggest traditional music festivals.
Auditions will be held on the 1st & 2nd of October with workshops on 30th October, 6th, 12th & 13th November with the performance on Sat 19th of November. Those interested in auditioning or looking for more information should contact Elaine Appleby by 19th September elaine@scotsfiddlefestival.com
