Welcome to the Land o’ Burns Fiddle Weekend – a new fiddle weekend in Ayr
Participants will work with some of the finest fiddlers Scotland has to offer!
Kevin Henderson (Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, Fiddlers Bid, Session A9)
Gordon Gunn (Session A9, Gordon Gunn Band)
Alistair McCulloch (Alistair McCulloch Trio, Coila)
Rua Macmillan (Blazin’ Fiddles)
Participants will get 15+ hours of group workshops, working with each of the 4 tutors, each tutor specialising in a different fiddling style. Lunch will be provided each day (tea, coffee and water available too).
As part of the event, you’ll also have tickets for a very special tutors concert which will be held at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum on the evening of Saturday 28th September, and be able to participate in some evening sessions taking place at local venues.
On the evening of the concert, tutor Alistair McCulloch has special permission from the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum to play on the famous Gregg Violin, the 267-year-old violin which was once owned by Robert Burns’ dance teacher.
More event and ticket information can be found at www.fiddleweekend.com
Weekend tickets are available here with an offer, if you purchase 2 or more tickets, you get £20 off each ticket!
