Burns Songs in the Spring – Song Gathering with Mary McCann
Saturday 5th March 2022
10.30am – 1.30pm
Morningside United Church Hall, Holy Corner, Chamberlain Road, Edinburgh
Mary will focus on leading 3 songs: Ca the Yowes and A Man’s a Man, with some simple harmonies; and also The Lea Rig to 2 different tunes – the old tune and a chance to try out a new tune for this beautiful song. We’ll bring some favourite singalongs too.
Words supplied, learning by ear, open to all. A voice recorder is useful to remember the songs.
You are very welcome to bring a turn (song or tune) as well, if you wish. There will be a break for coffee, and time for a picnic lunch at the end of the session.
Full Covid precautions will be taken and details will be sent out in advance.
