Limited parking in lower car park (off Viewforth) with acces to the building at level 0 (Please note: the school’s lift does not service this level).

There is also some on street parking, but on class nights the local area gets busy. We would recommend using public transport, bike or walking where possible. If you do need to drive, please consider leavng spaces closer to the school for people with mobility problems or those with heavy instruments to carry

From city centre get any bus to Bruntsfield or Fairmilehead, and get off at the first stop past Bruntsfield Links

accessibility:

There is a small flight of steps at the main school entrance, which is on level 1. Classes are one floor up from here. Lift access available, by prior arrangement, to and from levels 1, 2 and 3. If you need to use the level access entrance to attend a class or event we are running at Boroughmuir, the ramped entrance is accessed via the gate at Westhall Gardens, and entering the door at the South end of the building.

note:

Boroughmuir is between Bruntsfield Place and Gilmore Place. Scots Music Group classes are all on level 2, in rooms with numbers beginning with a ‘2’.

Facilities: The SMG Base is in room 2.06. Juice, water and snacks are on sale here, along with SMG news and leaflets and information on a myriad of traditional arts events.
Toilets: These are on level 1. From the main school entrance, go through the arch opposite the front door. The toilets are on the right, opposite the Janitors’ Office.
