Morag Brown

Morag Brown is a fiddle teacher, Suzuki method violin teacher and regular performer. Having learnt through Suzuki as a child in Edinburgh, she went on to train as a Suzuki teacher and now applies the philosophy of the method to her fiddle teaching also.

Morag specialises in Scottish fiddle music (particularly Shetland style), but also plays a number of other styles. She currently performs with Black Cat (Balkan), Whirlypit (Scottish, European styles), Dunya (Middle Eastern) and ceilidh bands including Mental Notes, Jiginaboot and Awry.
