Mairi Campbell

Mairi works in Scotland as a session musician. She performs with The Cast, formed when Mairi and David joined forces after meeting each other in the burgeoning traditional music and dance scene in Edinburgh. She has her own dance band (Bella McNabs) a fiddle-driven dance group who take their inspiration from the traditional music of Scotland and Ireland, as well as Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Mairi teaches at home and is Musical Diractor for Sangstream, a community folk choir affiliated to the Scots Music Group.

Mairi runs her own fiddle courses on the island of Lismore. Since 2006 she has been a tutor at the Coast String Summer music school in B.C
