Elaine Bradley

Elaine has a unique background that combines drumming, business and education.

She is an experienced teacher of Brazilian drumming, delivering workshops and creating dynamic team events in a wide variety of contexts with SensoRhythm, and is also musical Director of Commotion, an Edinburgh-based womens’ drumming group which plays a blend of Afro-Brazilian grooves.

Elaine has performed in a variety of settings, collaborating with other musicians, artists and dancers to stage multi-media events. As a member of ‘Repercussion’, an eight-piece Brazilian percussion group, she performed at festivals throughout the UK and Ireland, including a performance with Jools Holland in collaboration with The Drake Music Project – which enables people with disabilities to compose and perform their own music using technology. As part of a small drumming ensemble, she recorded with The Pet Shop Boys, performing live on Channel 4’s TFI Friday. Elaine has also performed in Italy and Amsterdam with ‘Beat That!, performing live on The Paul Lion television show. In addition, she performed in Paris with the Brazilian/Celtic fusion ‘Rame’.
