Andy May

Andy May has been playing Bodhran in sessions around Edinburgh since the early 1990s. Originally from Dundee he moved to Edinburgh to study and soon become involved in the Folk Music scene. In addition to the Bodhran he can be seen playing Bass Clarinet and Singing at various sessions around town.

Andy is also an accomplished Ceilidh Caller, currently with The Big Squeeze Ceilidh Band. In less folky moments he plays Bassoon with Stockbridge & New Town Community Orchestra and repairs Woodwind & Brass Instruments.
