Our ceilidhs are lively, friendly, informal and fun. You’ll be made welcome whether you come on your own or with a party. You don’t need to know what to do – a caller will explain the dances and there are lots of friendly folk to give you a hand and get everyone up dancing

Tickets: in advance £8/£6 concs. on the door on the night: £10/£7 concs.

Please note our ceilidh tickets are non-refundable. You can resell unwanted tickets yourself, but we are unable to do this for you due to our limited resources and the additional administration time required.

Our ceilidhs are enjoyed by all ages – from youngsters’ first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a birl. People come dressed in jeans, full highland dress – and everything in between.

A member of Scots Music Group hosts each ceilidh. Personal announcements can be made during the break at ceilidhs, for example, a birthday, wedding or any other type of celebration. If you would like an announcement made please email SMG at least 10 days beforehand with your message.

For groups of 10 or more people it is possible to reserve tables until 8.15pm, please email SMG at least 10 days before the ceilidh you are attending.

There is a licensed bar in St Bride’s. Please note, your own alcohol cannot be brought in to the venue, as this contravenes the licence. Water is available free of charge.

We run a fund-raising raffle during the break. If you have a prize you wish to donate, please call the SMG Office on 0131 555 7668, or bring it along to the ceilidh.
