SMG Ceilidhs are enjoyed by all ages – from youngsters’ first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a birl. People come dressed in jeans, full highland dress – and everything in between.

A member of the Scots Music Group hosts each ceilidh. Personal announcements can be made for example, if a group comes to celebrate a birthday, wedding or any other type of celebration. If you would like an announcement made during the break at a particular ceilidh please email SMG at least 10 days beforehand with your message.

For groups of 10 or more people it is possible to reserve tables until 8.15pm, please email SMG at least 10 days before the ceilidh you are attending.

There is a licensed bar in St Bride’s and hot food by Galway Gourmet available at the break. The Scots Music Group runs a fund-raising raffle during the break at ceilidhs. If you have a prize you wish to donate, please call the SMG Office on 0131 555 7668, or bring it along to the ceilidh.
