Ros, the SMG development worker, played her fiddle on Trafalgar Square’s 4th plinth on Sunday 13th September.

Ros made dedications for people who who pledged a donation to SMG, and played a new unnamed tune. The auction to name the tune was won by members of the Diggers session. They have decided to call the tune ‘Jig Formerly Known as Plinth’. Download the written music here. The £200 raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support

Many thanks to everyone who has been involved in this – people have bent over backwards to help out by lending equipment, putting together set lists, rehearsing, making banners, supporting me at the plinth, taking photos, writing learning and recording the new tune, offering accomodation, making donations, and generally running about doing all sorts of useful things!

Most of all, thanks to everyone at the Diggers for all the fun, suppot and great tunes too, and all the dodgy suggestions you came up with for the new tune’s name!

Ros x
