  • Blazin in Beauly
    A musical extravaganza started by the band Blazin’ Fiddles in the historic village of Beauly, 15 miles west of Inverness. With the aim of being “much more than a fiddle school” the intention of the week in Beauly is to immerse people in the music of the Highlands and Islands. You get the chance to work with world class performers; but the instruction is only a part of the week – the sessions, the talks, the concerts and the craic all add up to make Blazin’ in Beauly THE fiddle event in the UK

    A family friendly festival in the historic market town of Biggar – a small town at large!
  • Carrying Stream Festival
    Annual traditional music and song session commemorating Hamish Henderson’s legacy. Run by the TMSA in conjuction with the Carrying Stream Festival and Edinburgh Folk Club

    Features artists from around the globe alongside the very best Scottish talent. Takes place in Glasgow every January
  • Feis London
    A Fèis is a gathering of people who come together to develop skills in the Gaelic arts and traditional music on a wide range of instruments. The London Fèis is an entirely participative experience, and is about learning through taking part.

    Concerts, films, community events & opportunities to participate for music lovers of all ages.
  • Lismore Fiddle Retreat
    Spend a weekend on the island of Lismore, with Mairi Campbell, and give your fiddle playing a boost!
    Each course is for up to 8 students, with individual attention on the playing issues that you’d like to address. Whether you want to improve your tone, learn to play faster, ease aches and pains, build up your repertoire and meet other fiddle enthusiasts, this course is for you. Different levels of ability are accommodated on the same course.
  • Living Tradition summer school
    ‘Living Tradition Summer School’ is a modern style of event using the highest quality of traditional arts teaching combined with public performance to provide opportunities for participation and learning at all levels. The workshops offer a quality learning experience and bring international masters of the folk arts to Scotland.
