Drumming - Beginner
Learn skills and techniques that will build a great foundation to progress with any drumming style. The class will work on drum pads and work on snare drum rudiments.
The class will initially work on Drum pads. Sticks and drum pads can be purchased from Drum Central, 61 South Clerk Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9PP Tel: 0131 667 3844, or online at various bagpipe suppliers.
The sticks that tend to be the most popular in pipe bands are the Jim Kilpatrick, KP2’s (cost about £11).
Pads are specific to snare drumming. There are a few pads on the market – a Premier Pipe Band pad or similar would be suitable for this class (costs around £25).
