The Scots Music Group’s ceilidh band will work on their current repertoire, add some new sets and play for dancing! New folk and instruments are particularly welcome. There will be opportunities through the term for the class to play for the dancers in the ceilidh dance class. Suitable for players of intermediate level and above

Using well known tunes, the focus will be on getting a feel for the rhythms, rather than learning tunes – so bring your tape recorder.
Less experienced players are welcome but should be prepared to play a simpler accompaniment for faster dances. This class is suitable for improvers and above. More experienced players especially welcome.
