Song - Sing Together (daytime)

Come and be in at the start of a new daytime traditional singing group, learning great songs from Scotland and beyond. Help to create a lively, friendly, participative group which might choose to grow into a community choir.

Songs include Burns songs, seasonal songs, songs of celebration, Edinburgh songs, songs from the Scottish Traveller tradition, work songs, children’s songs, songs your granny loved, songs from contemporary songwriters, songs from other traditions…

We will learn by ear, with easy and enjoyable voice warm-ups, simple rounds and games to build confidence, and a chance to try harmonies. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm, welcoming, sociable and musical.

All ages of adult singers welcome, both beginners and experienced.

When can I start? Preferably at the beginning of term. It may be possible to join later in the term if there are spaces left in the class.

It may be possible to arrange with the tutor to pay by the week for this class.
