Song - Linten Adie 10.15am
This class will be running at the new times of 10.15am to 12.15pm from January 2011
We work on a wide variety of (mainly) Scots songs in a lively and sociable group. The group learns songs by ear and performs at occasional community events.
Level: It’s good if you have a bit of experience, e.g. 1 year in a class, or lots of singing along at home/ to the radio…
Linten Adie is for you if you’d like to:
- Sing in a fairly large well-established friendly group
- Learn mostly Scots songs as a whole group and work on some arrangements and harmonies
- Learn around 4 new songs per term, and keep up old songs
- Take part in occasional community performances (organised by the class committee), singarounds, outings and workshops etc
Men are particularly welcome!
tutor: Scott Murray
Scott has taught a variety of music related classes including Beginning to Sing, Song & Guitar, Scots Song, Harmony and Songwriting. He sings with the group Sangsters, who perform at clubs and festivals all over the country and beyond
