This class is a continuation of the class that started in September 2010. It may be possible to join the class if you already have a little playing experience. The class is not suitable for complete beginners to join later in the year.
Learn the basics of the mandolin from the very beginning, and begin to learn a few tunes. You should have a mandolin to bring along to the class. Nigel’s class is a happy and encouraging place to start your journey.
Everyone in this class will be treated as though they’re picking up an an instrument for the first time, even if you have a little experience. You’ll get to grips with techniques and equipment, and start to build a repertoire.
For the first few weeks your tutor will tune instruments at the start of the class.
